For those of you whom do not know who Kelly is or about Lost Angels, Kelly is my hero and happens to be at the very top of my favorite rescue groups. Last year alone (2007) Kelly along with her incrediable volunteers saved over 738 dogs in one year!!! Can you imagine? I cannot! Kelly you truly are an angel and I love you. Dear Lost Angels Animal Rescue,
We are pleased to inform you that we have selected Lost Angels Animal Rescue of Tampa, FL as our "Charity of the Month" for July 2008. In addition to receiving a check at the end of the month for 5% of our monthly retail sales, we would try to help get the word out about Lost Angels in an effort to get some private donations for you. We would do this by writing a paragraph or so about the good works that Lost Angels does in our monthly newsletter (sent out to all current customers) and additionally there would be a similar paragraph and active link to the Lost Angels website posted on our bakery website (www.loveofdogbakery.com/charity) for the month of July. A link to your site will remain on our website, noting our past "Charities of the Month" for a minimum of one year.
We are a small, home-based online gourmet doggie bakery located in Maryland. Each month we select a worthy animal welfare organization and make them our "Charity of the Month", donating 5% of our monthly retail sales to their cause. And of course, we encourage you to help increase your donation from us by telling your friends and supporters about how they can help raise money for Lost Angels through the online purchase of our HomeMade Gourmet Dog Treats at Love of Dog Bakery. Past results have consistently shown that the charities that help us get the word out generate the most orders and in turn the largest donations. Post a note in a blog, send an email to your volunteers and supporters, post a flyer at adoption rallys this month - whatever you feel comfortable with, but please help us promote this opportunity. Summertime is a little slower for us, and with the increasing prices at the gas pump and everywhere else sales are down even more than anticipated. Please help us to increase your donation by actively promoting this opportunity to your supporters!
Why Lost Angels? Well quite simply because you asked us to! I received an e-mail last December from one of your volunteers, Melissa Weitzenfeld, who heard about us through the Rolling Dog Ranch blog (they were our Charity of the Month for December 2007). Melissa told us a little about Lost Angels and asked that we consider making you our Charity of the Month in the future, and now we'd like to honor that request.
